Trash Rat Merch is a brutally honest, art-driven clothing brand inspired by the realities of mental illness. After graduating from a fine arts program and stepping away from creating for years, a challenge from a friend pushed me to open an Etsy shop, and Trash Rat was born out of pure spite and stubbornness. What started as a revenge project has “failed forward” into a growing presence at tattoo conventions across mid-western Canada. Trash Rat designs embrace honesty over forced positivity, because not everything has to be positive it just has to be true.
