Enso, which translates to ‘circle’, refers to the zen moment following the brushstrokes that allow for the circle to take shape. Historically, the Japanese believe that in this moment, the mind is truly free to create. Despite this circle being a simple element of design – a single line – it is not easily mastered and rarely perfected.

​​Enso Tattoo is a custom tattoo shop based out of Calgary, AB. Owned and operated by James Jacobs, the doors first opened in 2011. Located along the city’s busy 17th avenue, it’s walls continue to house masters of the craft of tattooing. The cozy space is centrally located and opens it’s doors for walk-ins every day. The artists are dedicated to making each and every piece personalized to the client, while ensuring the strictest of hygiene and sterilization practices.
